Job Description

Providing comprehensive technical support to our end-users and maintain our IT infrastructure in Cairo. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of end-user systems, including hardware, software, platforms, and networks, as well as supporting our network (LAN, WAN), security systems, and backend services (both cloud and on-premises). This role involves end-user support, infrastructure maintenance, asset management, and preventative maintenance to ensure a stable and efficient IT environment.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • End User Support:
    • Provide first and second-level technical support to end-users for hardware (desktops, laptops, peripherals), software applications, platforms, and network connectivity issues.
    • Install, configure, and maintain end-user hardware and software.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve end-user technical problems in a timely and effective manner, both remotely and on-site.
    • Provide user training and guidance on IT systems and best practices.
  • Infrastructure Support:
    • Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).
    • Support the implementation and maintenance of security systems and policies.
    • Assist in the management and maintenance of backend services, including cloud platforms and on-premises servers and services.
    • Perform basic network troubleshooting and escalate complex issues as needed.
    • Assist in the administration of user accounts and access permissions.
  • Asset Management:
    • Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and cloud subscriptions.
    • Track the deployment, movement, and disposal of IT assets.
  • Preventative Maintenance:
    • Perform regular preventative maintenance tasks on end-user devices and infrastructure components.
    • Apply software updates, patches, and security fixes.
    • Conduct basic system health checks and performance monitoring.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Document common troubleshooting steps and solutions in a knowledge base.
    • Assist in the creation and maintenance of IT procedures and guidelines.
    • Provide basic reports on support activities and system status as required.

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Professional graduation in an IT-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Solid understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows, android).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms and on-premises server environments is a plus.
  • Experience with asset management practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Professional cloud and system certifications are preferred.
