Job Description

  • Prepare and review tax returns, tax calculations, and related financial reports in compliance with Egyptian tax laws and regulations.
  • Ensure timely submission of tax declarations, returns, and payments in accordance with statutory deadlines.
  • Manage tax compliance requirements, including VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax, and other applicable taxes.
  • Reconcile tax accounts and ensure the accuracy of tax-related entries in the general ledger.
  • Follow up on tax inspections, assessments, audits, and inquiries with the Egyptian Tax Authority.
  • Maintain accurate tax records, supporting documents, and reconciliations for audit purposes.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Accounting, and external tax consultants to resolve tax-related issues.
  • Identify tax risks and opportunities to improve tax compliance and efficiency.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to taxation.

 

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in taxation, preferably in a corporate or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Egyptian tax laws, regulations, and electronic tax systems.
  • Practical experience with VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax, and tax audits.
  • Good knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
